On YouTube, there is a place where the Most viewed video's each month are highlighted. Paula Seling - Get Up Now has a chance of making it there before the month is up.
Huge American record companies spend thousands of dollars announcing a video's release date and build up all this hype to blast their video's to the top of the list, many of which are really exceptionally tasteless. The truth is, there are very few places where independent artists like Paula stand a chance against them.
I was born in the USA and I never knew about Eurovision until January of this year, I am 46. The truth is no one here knows anything real about Romania, Russia or any other eastern European country because the information is never published in anything. So this is it, this is your chance to put one of your own on the international map. if you are a Paula Seling Fan and you love her music you should know that YouTube judges popularity by four criteria. Rating a song highly, Adding a song to your favorites, comments a song has received and the number of times the video is viewed.
Now I am not asking you to drive up the view count, overrate the song or add it to your favorites when it isn't one. I am just trying to fill you in on how YouTube works and why Paula's exceptional music never seems to make it to the most popular list. I am also asking that if you have viewed Get Up Now and you like the song, please rate it and leave a comment in support of Paula or add it to your favorites.
YouTube adds all these comments and ratings up to determine a songs popularity. so even a song like Ploaie in luna lui Marte that has over 5000 views today, surprisingly, has only been rated 23 times and only 25 people claim it as a favorite. That is half of a percent of all views.
So my goal in writing this is to say, if you are a Paula Fan and you have a YouTube account, please don't forget to rate any song you like, leave a comment for the performer and add it to your favorites if it is one, because it is the only thing that counts to YouTube.
